UPDATE: It’s no secret that Sig Sauer HAS run into a few quality control issues and there are too many reported failures. We’re sure it will get fixed and everything we say about this firearm stands true. We also think you can make this problem work for you.
Sig Sauer has left the introductory offers open, but cleared the shelves while they get their house in order. So, if you’re prepared to be patient, you can still back order your Sig P365 and you’ll get it as soon as they have fixed the striker firing pin dragging and trigger reset spring breaking.
So you’ll get your gun, working well, at a serious discount. It’s $499.99 and I think it’s worth putting in your order and waiting. The gun is that good, in theory…
There’s a slim chance it could turn into a total lemon. But we doubt it. Sig Sauer has already redesigned the striker pin once and there are more changes on the way. We’re basically on Gen 2 of this gun already, and there may be a Gen 3 on the way. My gut feeling is that even if you get a Gen 2, Sig will quietly swap it for a Gen 3 if you send it back.
There’s too much invested in this gun to give up, so we think you’re safe to order.
It’s finally here, the weapon that might just sweep all before it and take the crown for the best concealed carry handgun in the world. It’s the Sig Sauer P365 Nitron.
And you can get $100 off the retail price if you pre-order with Brownells. On Sig’s own website, this is a $599.99 handgun. But Brownells will send you one as soon as they come in if you put $499.99 down now.
It’s beyond compact, in fact it’s 5.8 inches in total and yet it’s so much smaller than the immediate competition in almost every dimension.
Somehow, you get 10 rounds plus one without resorting to an extended clip. The bigger clip offers 12+1 rounds, which really is nibbling on the heels of another one of our favorite striker-fired 9mm CCW: the Springfield Armory XDMOD2.
We love that gun for the sheer capacity of the double-stack magazine and the surprisingly accurate pistol that’s easy to hit groups with at the range. But this is a tempting proposition.
The Austro-American outfit went the same route with a double-stack mag, but went for an even smaller gun that is just 1 inch wide at the controls.
Everything is just right, too, from the long trigger with a positive reset right through to the slide work and stippling. This isn’t a gun you’ve got to build up yourself. Everything just works, right out the box.
You get Tritium night sights and you can upgrade those with a laser-pointer, but they add bulk to a remarkably lightweight gun that weighs just 1.11lb
This is one of those instinctively ‘right’ handguns.
Sig is calling it a micro-compact with a high capacity and it’s hard to argue with their reasoning. It’s also an elegant gun, a pretty gun. For a concealed EDC, that can be a good thing.
You get the legendary reliability and even a little brand cache with Sig. They don’t make cheap guns, but they do make great ones. Hey have torture tested this new concealed carry gun to death and it’s a tough polymer weapon that should comfortably match up to the Glock 19 in terms of reliability.
This weapon really has the potential to disrupt the CCW pecking order and we think a lot of M&P Shield, Glock 43 and, yes, Springfield Armory fans might be tempted to make the switch.
It’s a good price on Brownells right now. So if you know you want to buy a Sig Sauer P365 Nitron, then put in your order and buy a big box of 9mm ammo with the savings.
