You honestly could not make this stuff up…
Yes the Florida school shooting was a tragedy and we don’t want to make light of that. But since then, David Hogg and Emma Gonzalez have taken every opportunity to grab the spotlight.
Now it has blown up in Hogg’s face. As Broward County schools have taken their own measures to ensure kids cannot carry guns into school. They include transparent plastic backpacks.
See Through Backpacks = Prison
Hogg said students shouldn’t feel as if they’re going to school at a “prison” and cited privacy concerns.
“It’s unnecessary, it’s embarrassing for a lot of the students and it makes them feel isolated and separated from the rest of American school culture. They’re essentially having their First Amendment rights infringed upon because they can’t freely wear whatever backpack they want,” Hogg said.
“Many students want their privacy. There are many, for example, females in our school. When they go through their menstrual cycle, they don’t want people to see their tampons and stuff.
“What we should have is more policies that make sure that these students are feeling safe and secure in their schools. Not like they’re being fought against like it’s a prison.”
Hmmmm, right…
Was Cruz Bullied Until He Snapped?
Emma Gonzalez came blindingly close to admitting bullying Nikolas Cruz. She admitted that they had ‘ostracized’ him since middle school. Hogg, meanwhile, determined to use his ‘student journalism’ to the greatest effect, has blazed a trail that included the following gems:
- Fuck Trump
- Fuck the NRA
Everyone’s favorite activist also promised gun control and has demanded action repeatedly. In fact, he has determinedly tried to repeal the Second Amendment any way he can.
He can’t, but that’s another story.
This minor has also viciously attacked the NRA and anybody else he can think of, before hiding behind his victim status when challenged. He even accused people of “mudslinging against children”. This is downright wrong.
Hogg is Part of Cancel Culture
The campaign for sponsors to drop their support for Laura Ingraham after she took him to task was petty, small-minded and kinda disgusting. You cannot campaign like an adult and then claim innocent child status when it suits you.
That’s not how this works.
Hogg’s Argument Dismissed in a Tweet

Could David Hogg take a moment to consider the irony of his statement. He has carried out a vicious attack on the Second Amendment in recent weeks and was happy to change the rules for the entire American population. But if he has to take a plastic bag to school? No, this is tyranny…
David Hogg Should Think More, Speak Less
Please David, and your advisers, you really need to think before you speak.
You have been given a lot of leeway, because we’re not monsters and we understand that this was a major tragedy. We think we need to look at why it happened, as much as how it happened, though, and we think you kids might have something more to say on the matter than you have already.
Until we get to that truth, maybe it would be a good idea to suck it up buttercup and definitely don’t go down the rights and constitution route when you’ve shown so little respect for the parts you don’t like.
