The data updates constantly. When a retailer drops the price on a Glock 19, runs a flash sale on AR-15 lowers, or restocks a hard-to-find suppressor host, it shows up here. No stale prices, no bait-and-switch listings from sketchy aggregator sites.
Why Prices Vary So Much Between Retailers
The same gun can cost $100 to $300 more at one retailer compared to another. That’s not a typo. Pricing in the firearms industry is all over the place, and most buyers never bother to compare.
Here’s why it happens. Online retailers negotiate different wholesale pricing with manufacturers. They run different promotions at different times. Some pad their margins on popular models because they know people will pay it. Others use aggressive pricing on flagship products to drive traffic and make it up on accessories and ammo.
PSA might have the cheapest AR-15 on the market, but their Sig Sauer prices might be average. KyGunCo might have the best Glock deals, but their rifle selection is smaller. Guns.com often wins on used firearms. EuroOptic dominates high-end precision rifles. Knowing which retailer is cheapest for what you’re buying is the whole game. That’s what this tool does for you.
What You Can Search
The price check tool covers firearms, ammunition, optics, parts, and accessories. If an online gun retailer sells it, we can probably find it.
Firearms: Search by model name, manufacturer, caliber, or any combination. “Glock 19 Gen 5” works. So does “CZ P-10C” or “Mossberg 590A1” or “Sig P365 XL”. For best results, be specific. “AR-15” will return thousands of results. “PSA PA-15 16 inch 5.56” narrows it down fast.
Ammunition: Switch to the ammo tab and search by caliber or brand. “9mm” shows you bulk deals across all retailers. “Federal 5.56 XM193” finds that specific load. If you’re hunting for cheap range ammo or premium self-defense rounds, this is where you start.
Optics and Accessories: Red dots, scopes, holsters, magazines, lights, parts kits. The same price disparity that exists for guns applies to accessories. A Holosun 507C might be $250 at one store and $310 at another. Three minutes of price checking saves you real money.
Tips for Getting the Best Price on a Gun
Finding a good price isn’t just about who has the lowest sticker. There are a few tricks that experienced buyers use to squeeze every dollar.
Check multiple times. Prices change daily. A gun that’s $549 today might drop to $479 next week when a competing retailer runs a sale. If you’re not in a rush, bookmark the search and check back in a few days.
Factor in shipping and transfer fees. A gun that’s $20 cheaper but charges $30 shipping isn’t actually a deal. Most of the retailers we track offer free shipping over a certain threshold, but not all. And don’t forget the FFL transfer fee on the other end, which is typically $25 to $35.
Watch for combo deals. Retailers sometimes bundle guns with extra magazines, holsters, or optics at a discount. PSA does this constantly with their AR pistol kits and range bundles. The individual gun price might look higher, but the total package is a steal.
Holiday sales are real. Black Friday, Memorial Day, Fourth of July, and even random mid-week flash sales can knock 10-20% off retail. Our Gun Deals of the Day page tracks these in real time.
