The Sig Sauer P365 Nitron is now the undisputed best concealed carry gun in the world and it was only a matter of time before the custom tuning houses went to work on this diminutive carry pistol.
Here’s the first, the Danger Close Armament Sig Sauer P365 Nitron Signature Pistol.
Full range of colors and some Glocks
Some of our favorite color combos are down the page, but if you just want to see the full Danger Close Armament line then we’ve got an easy link for you here.
Can they improve on near perfection in a concealed carry gun? After a rocky start with some quality control issues, Sig Sauer went back to the drawing board and produced a pistol that really does redefine the CCW genre. It’s as small as a Ruger LCPII 380, but it shoots the self-defense round of choice: 9mm.
The Glock tuners will be racing to produce their own miniature package and a range of Sig P365 parts & accessories, but Danger Close Armament has beaten them to the punch with this simple and elegant package of gun parts.
The price is always going to be the defining factor for some people. If you just can’t get your head around the pricing, you probably never will. You will almost certainly shake your head at the price of Sig P365 parts and accessories, too, and I wouldn’t entirely blame you.
But if you’re a fashion conscious buyer, the kind of guy who has a proper watch and wears a suit on Saturdays, then a custom handgun like this makes perfect sense.
This tuned pistol looks and feels like a premium product, and it functions like a Sig Sauer P365 Nitron. That’s a pretty solid recipe for a concealed carry gun right there.
Danger Close Armament Sig Sauer P365 Nitron Signature Pistol Tech Highlights
We do like that stippling, like a lot. It’s kind of nasty that it’s called the Brain texture, but we can see how it works for a carry handgun in all conditions. If you can’t get a good grip on this gun, then I am going to lay the blame at your door.
The Sig Sauer P365 Nitron gets a Tactical Grey Cerakote finish and Danger Close Armament goes to work on the slide to give you more options when it comes to shooting technique. There are top cocking serrations so your fingers never slip.
The slide is ported, slightly, and then coated with hard-wearing DLC. I can’t believe you’re going to feel a major difference in the recoil here. This is a style statement, rather than a performance mod.
Danger Close Armament hasn’t messed with the internals, so it obviously thinks the new Sig Sauer firing pin is up to the task. It’s a gun that was engineered to the absolute limit, too, which means it’s going to take a brave soul to start messing round in there, but somebody will in the end.
Other highlights include a match grade gold barrel, color coded ejection port and fiber optic night sights to replace the stock dot sights on the Sig Sauer P365 pistol.
You can also opt for a Flat Dark Earth finish if you don’t like the grey…
There is now a Camo version you might want to have a look at and the range is growing all the time.
Are Custom Handguns Worth The Money?
Is this level of work worth $1,299? Not really, objectively speaking.
But you can’t really judge guns like this objectively. It’s an emotional purchase and it’s also aimed at your EDC. The Cerakote finish, the stippling and slide work are all improvements, however incremental.
Yes, we’re into diminishing returns, but this is just the best of the best and that always costs money.
If you can justify this ludicrous expense on one handgun, it’s the one you keep with you at all times.
So if you’re chomping at the bit for an exclusive concealed carry and you love the idea of a custom Sig P365 Nitron, well there are only three of them left right now so you’d better act fast…

I all ready own a 365 but like to know how much will cost too take my to the next level?
Well I would say you’ll really feel the stippling, that’s the big USP. The slide? Well it’s an expensive and largely cosmetic mod as we all know. One thing you might like to look into that is totally different is an upgraded Lightning Strike firing pin that’s much more solid and was conceived to get over the initial problems with them fracturing in the early models. Is it still relevant? That’s another question.
Of all the mods, I’d look at stippling first, but in truth we’re still waiting to see if there is going to be a wave of internal mods. The 365 is engineered to such tight tolerances and the trigger is so good that it will be interesting to see if there is much forthcoming except for aesthetic stuff, sights, extended mags etc. My guess is that there will be, it’s too big a market to just ignore. But I would wonder out loud how much of it will actually offer a tangible improvement.
