The Colt Gold Cup is Colt’s factory target 1911, sold as the stainless Gold Cup Lite, the blued National Match and the Trophy. We shot a Lite in .45 and a Trophy in 9mm, 300 rounds each, mapped every current SKU and price, and compared it with the Ruger SR1911 Target, Springfield Emissary and Dan Wesson Pointman.

The Ruger SR22 is a compact DA/SA .22 LR pistol with ambidextrous controls, adjustable sights and a rail. We put 700 rounds through one, compare it with the P22, TX22, P322 and M&P22, and explain Ruger’s SR22 safety bulletin.

The Colt Combat Commander is a Government Model cut to a 4.25 inch slide for carry. We put 400 rounds each through a steel Combat Commander in .45 and a Lightweight Commander in 9mm, mapped Colt’s current models and prices, and compared it with the Ruger SR1911, Springfield Ronin and Kimber Pro Carry II.

The Colt Delta Elite is the stainless 10mm 1911 that brought the cartridge back. We put 500 rounds through an O2020XE, mapped Colt’s four current models including the Optics-Ready, and compared it with the Tisas, Rock Island and Dan Wesson 10mm 1911s.

The Shadow Systems MR920 is a factory-custom Glock 19 alternative that takes Glock 19 magazines and holsters. We put 800 rounds through an Elite and break down every model from the $681 LE up.

The Ruger Security-380 is an easy-to-rack compact .380 that holds 15+1. We put 400 rounds through a model 3839, mapped Ruger’s five current models, and compared it with the Shield EZ, Walther CCP M2 and Browning 1911-380.

The Bond Arms Roughneck and Rowdy are Bond’s Rough Series derringers: the same stainless frame and barrels with the polish left off. We shot 230 rounds through both and found the barrel stamp that says the Rowdy takes 2.5 inch .410 shells.
