Nighthawk Custom builds hand-fit 1911s from 416 billet steel one gunsmith at a time. Staccato builds high-capacity, optics-ready 2011s that ride on duty belts. We compare both on craft, capacity, price and, crucially, what you can actually buy today.

Wilson Combat and Nighthawk Custom build $3,000 1911s from the same small town in Arkansas. We compare build philosophy, the 416 billet steel and MIM split, triggers, price and, crucially, which one you can actually buy right now.

The Glock is the better tool and the 1911 is the better gun to shoot. Full spec comparison from Glock and Springfield published data, plus the bit everyone gets wrong: at the entry point the 1911 is the cheaper platform, $299.99 against $448.00.

The 1911 and the 2011 share a trigger and differ on capacity, grip and price. A double-stack now starts at $663.99 against $569.99 for a single-stack Mil-Spec, and “2011” is a live Staccato trademark, which is why everyone else sells a 1911 DS or a 2311.
