Last updated November 2026 · By Nick Hall, who covers rifle suppressor launches and the NFA rules that govern them for USA Gun Shop
Quick take: Banish has a new .30 cal can for gas guns, the HD 762 INC, printed entirely from 718 Inconel and rated for full-auto fire. It costs $1,129, the same money as the 5.56 version Banish already sells.
- What it is: A 6.7-inch, 15.9-ounce suppressor for 7.62 NATO and .308 Winchester rifles, made from additively manufactured 718 Inconel with nine baffles.
- Price: Banish lists the HD 762 INC at $1,129 in Black or Flat Dark Earth Cerakote.
- Where: Banish says it is available now through its dealers, and its product page points buyers to Silencer Central.
- Why it matters: It is built to keep back pressure low on AR-10s and other gas-operated rifles, with no barrel-length restriction and a full-auto rating.
Most new .30 cal cans are either featherweight hunting tubes that hate a fast string of fire or heavy steel bricks that turn an AR-10 into a gas-in-the-face machine. This one goes after the middle. We pulled the spec sheet and the manual straight from Banish so you don’t have to.

What’s Inside the Banish HD 762 INC
Banish’s HD 762 INC product page went live on November 5, 2026, and the short version is 100% additively manufactured 718 Inconel. Banish calls it a full-auto rated 7.62 suppressor with “no barrel length restrictions,” and the manual describes a dedicated 7.62 NATO/.308 Win can built to take sustained full-auto fire.
The numbers are compact for an Inconel rifle can. It’s 6.7 inches long, 1.65 inches in diameter and 15.9 ounces, and Banish’s launch release adds that the weight is without a mount. Banish rates it for cartridges from 5.56 NATO up to .300 RUM, and says it is compatible with Federal 6.5 Creedmoor +Peak, 7mm Backcountry and other high-pressure loads.
Inside are nine baffles and what Banish calls controlled-flow technology with helical vents. The manual and the release both put the vent count at eight.
Mounting is flexible. The rear of the can takes industry-standard HUB threads, and a 5/8×24 direct-thread mount comes in the box. The finish is Cerakote, it’s made in the USA, and it carries the Banish lifetime warranty.
Same $1,129 as the HD 556 INC, Different Recipe
Banish says the HD 762 INC builds on the design of the HD 556 INC, and the launch release calls it the second suppressor in the company’s Heavy Duty line. That line is reserved for cans built for hard use and heavy fire rates.
Here is the interesting part. The HD 556 INC also lists at $1,129, but it isn’t all Inconel. Banish builds it with an additive manufactured Inconel core and a stainless-steel blast chamber, and it ships with a 1/2×28 direct-thread mount for 5.56 rifles.
The 762 gives you the bigger bore and a full Inconel build for the same money, and it costs you 0.4 inches and 0.3 ounces over the 6.3-inch, 15.6-ounce HD 556 INC. Diameter is identical at 1.65 inches. That is not much of a penalty.
One thing to know before you buy either. Banish’s spec table answers “No” on self-service, so this is not a can you strip down on the bench. Banish’s Service Program covers a maintenance check within a year of ownership instead.
Why Back Pressure Is the Whole Pitch on an AR-10
Put a suppressor on a gas gun and the extra pressure it holds has to go somewhere, and on an AR-10 a good share of it comes back through the gas system and the action toward the shooter, which is the back pressure Banish says its helical vents and controlled-flow design are there to reduce.
“Gas guns are hard on a suppressor, and too much back pressure makes them hard on the shooter, too,” said Kelly Streiff, Banish Suppressors’ chief revenue officer. Streiff added, “We expect it to become the go-to suppressor for anyone running an AR-10, a gas-operated precision rifle or an SBR.”
Banish’s own numbers come from its internal testing: an average of 135.7 dB at the shooter’s ear on a 16-inch AR-10 in .308 Winchester, and 126.2 dB at the ear with subsonic .300 Blackout through a 16-inch AR. The release also says the can is built for 6mm AR-15s.
There’s 1.9 inches of space to the first baffle, too. Banish says that leaves room for full-length muzzle brakes and flash hiders under a HUB-compatible QD mount, which matters if you already own a mount system you like. Full-Auto Rated Is Not the Same as Full-Auto Legal
The full-auto rating is a durability claim about the can. It changes nothing about the gun. On October 9, 2026, ATF said in an open letter that “all NFA provisions still apply to machineguns and destructive devices,” and the federal tax on those stays at $200 under 26 U.S.C. § 5811.
Suppressors are a different story now. That same statute puts the federal transfer tax on a silencer at $0, and the October 9 letter said ATF “will no longer require individuals to seek ATF approval” under the NFA before making or transferring suppressors. Our report on ATF’s NFA guidance covers the five limits it listed.
But read the letter for what it is. ATF calls it a “change in enforcement policy,” not a repeal, and it says the policy does “not affect state or local laws that govern NFA weapons.” A suppressor is still a firearm under the Gun Control Act, so a dealer still runs the background check, and you should check suppressor laws by state before you order one.
When You Can Buy the HD 762 INC
Banish says the HD 762 INC is available now through its dealers at an MSRP of $1,129, in Black or Flat Dark Earth. The product page lists Silencer Central as its buying option.
Banish is headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and that is the address engraved on the tube in the product photo, right above the model name.
Inconel. Under a pound. Same price as the 5.56 can, and that is the whole pitch.
