Quick take: Tenicor has retired its ARX outside-the-waistband holsters and replaced them with the ARX2 and the light-bearing ARX LUX2, which went on sale November 5, 2026. The ARX2 is $125, the ARX LUX2 is $135, and a new CRUX double mag pouch at $75 rides on the same belt loops.
- What it is: A redesigned Kydex OWB holster line from Tenicor with new injection-molded polycarbonate belt loops, plus a matching CRUX double magazine pouch.
- Price: $125 for the ARX2, $135 for the ARX LUX2 and $75 for the CRUX, with right-hand and left-hand versions at the same price.
- Where: Direct from tenicor.com, where all seven product pages went live on November 5, 2026 with shipping in one business day.
- Why it matters: The ARX, ARX LUX and ARX SOL are gone, and Tenicor’s old ARX product links now forward straight to the new models.
Most holster launches are a new color or one more pistol added to the fit list. This one is different. Tenicor rebuilt the part that actually holds an OWB holster to your belt, then pulled the old line off its site to make the point.

What Tenicor Changed on the ARX2
Tenicor, the Moscow, Idaho holster maker, put seven new products live on its site on November 5, 2026: four ARX2 holsters, two ARX LUX2 holsters and the CRUX pouch. Its announcement doesn’t hedge about the old line: “The ARX2 and ARX LUX2 replace the ARX, ARX LUX and ARX SOL.”
The headline change is the belt loops. They’re now injection-molded polycarbonate, 1.5 inches wide, and Tenicor says each one “held 700 pounds of pull in our strength test.”
The shell is .093-inch Kydex with molded ridges that add strength at common stress points. The wings and loops are angled to pull the gun into your body, which Tenicor says reduces printing on a variety of body types.
The rest of the ARX2 spec reads like a checklist for a modern carry holster. Zero cant, so the gun rides neutral and the draw stays the same. A cut low enough for a full firing grip. Room for most slide-mounted red dots, with fit confirmed on common dots sized for each gun.
Retention on the ARX2 adjusts with a single screw, which Tenicor says removes excess bulk. On the Glock 43/43X MOS and SIG P365/P365X versions, the holster also gets a body contour near the muzzle that tips the grip into your body to cut printing.
Tenicor’s appendix holsters, the VELO5 and CERTUM4 we cover in our Tenicor holsters review, are still in the catalog. This launch is strictly the belt-holster side of the house.
Every ARX2 and ARX LUX2 Fit at Launch
The ARX2 at $125 comes in Glock 19/45, Glock 17/47, Glock 43/43X MOS and Glock 48 MOS cuts. Add the Staccato HD P4/C4X, the SIG P365/P365X and P365-XMACRO/AXG LEGION, and a 1911 Government with no rail and a barrel of 5 inches or less.
Tenicor is upfront about that 1911 version. It says the holster “will work for most 1911 non-railed guns with 90-95% fit.” That’s an honest line, and it’s the kind of caveat most makers leave out.
The ARX LUX2 at $135 is built around the light. For Glock, the ARX LUX2 comes in Multi-Light cuts for the 19/45 and 17/47, SureFire X300 and Streamlight TLR-1 cuts that cover both the 19/45 and 17/47, and Streamlight TLR-7 Sub or SureFire XC3 Sub cuts for the 43X MOS and 48 MOS. Staccato owners get a Multi-Light cut for the HD P4/C4X and an X300 cut for the HD P4-4.5.
Retention on the LUX2 works differently. Proprietary hardware built into the rear belt loop does the adjusting, and Tenicor includes a 1/8-inch Allen key to make the change.
Glock 19 owners get the most choice here, with a no-light ARX2 and three light-bearing cuts that fit the 19/45. Tenicor’s release says more fitments are in development, though it does not say which guns or when.
The CRUX Mag Pouch Rides the Same Loops
The CRUX is a $75 double magazine pouch built on the same belt loops as the ARX2. The pouch is curved, and the wings and loops are angled to pull the magazines into the body.
Retention adjusts separately for the front and rear magazine, with one screw each on the front of the pouch. Both the left-hand and right-hand versions hold the magazines with the bullets facing forward.
It comes in two sizes, and the split is not about how big the gun is. Size D covers magazines like the Glock 17/19, Staccato HD, M&P M2.0 and SIG P320. Size C takes the Glock 48 and 43X, SIG P365, Hellcat and Shield Plus, but it’s also the size Tenicor lists for the Beretta 92, CZ 75B and SIG P229 and P226.
So check Tenicor’s sizing chart before you order by gun size alone. A full-size pistol doesn’t automatically mean Size D.
The Belt Loop Argument Has Already Started
Not everyone is sold. The first customer reviews on Tenicor’s own ARX2 and ARX LUX2 pages are a fight over the loops, with a longtime ARX owner arguing that the old holster’s built-in loops sat closer to the body and the new ones are wider.
Tenicor’s case for the change is all in its product copy. The loops carry the 700-pound pull figure, and the angled wings and loops are its answer to printing.
If you liked the old ARX because it hugged your hip, wear the ARX2 for a while before you sell the old one. If belt attachment is the thing you worry about on an OWB rig, the ARX2 is aimed squarely at you.
But a $125 Kydex belt holster has plenty of company, and the picks in our best OWB holsters for concealed carry are the ones it has to beat. For a lot of carriers the deciding factor is fit for one specific pistol, and with four Glock cuts at launch, Glock shooters have the easiest time finding an ARX2 or ARX LUX2 that matches the gun and light they already carry every day.
When You Can Buy the ARX2
Now. All seven products went live on tenicor.com on November 5, 2026, and each page says it ships in one business day. Tenicor marks them Made in America and backs them with a satisfaction guarantee that reads: “If it fails, we’ll replace it.”
Check stock on your exact variant first. As of November 6, the left-hand ARX2 for the Glock 17/47 and the left-hand ARX2 for the Staccato already showed as unavailable in Tenicor’s product data.
Old ARX, ARX LUX and ARX SOL links on Tenicor’s site now forward to the new pages. If you wanted one of the originals, what’s left is whatever is already out there.
New loops, same idea. Pull the gun in tight and keep it there.
