Savage 110 Models Explained: Every Variant Compared (2026)

Last updated October 12, 2026 · By Nick Hall, who tested the 110 Tactical for our review and went through Savage’s rebuilt 2026 catalog model by model for this guide

Savage has built the Model 110 since 1958, and for 2026 it tore up the catalog. The 110 Tactical, 110 Hunter, 110 Storm, 110 Apex Hunter XP and 110 Ultralite that filled dealer racks last year are all marked out of production on Savage’s site. In their place sit 20 current centerfire rifles with names like Trail Blazer, Core Hunter and Ultralite Pro, spread across 494 North American SKUs in 34 chamberings.

That’s a lot of new names on one action. They do sort out. Most fall into three tiers, Trophy, Core and Pro, and the rest are precision and mountain rifles that carried over.

I went through Savage’s site model by model and pulled the factory specs for each. This guide groups the current Savage 110 models into 14 lines. For each one you get the specs of a representative SKU, how it shot, and who should buy it. After that come the buying advice, a table of discontinued 110s for used buyers, a rundown of what swaps between rifles, and a section on scopes and mounts, because the new rifles don’t all take glass the same way.

Table of Contents

Savage 110 Family at a Glance

Each row shows one representative SKU, named by Savage’s five-digit SKU number, because every line comes in several chamberings and barrel lengths. MSRP is Savage’s list price for that SKU. The live cards under each rifle show what dealers are charging today.

Weights are Savage’s figures for the bare rifle. Every rifle in the table is right-handed; left-hand options are covered line by line below.

Three things wear the 110 name that I’ve left out of the 14. The 110 Hunter XP is a Walmart exclusive at $650 with a Bushnell 4-12×40 mounted. The 110 PCS is a bolt-action pistol. And the three 110 RF models are .22 LR trainers built on the full-size action, a subject for another page.

Pros

  • Sub-MOA assurance on every new rifle
  • Left-hand SKUs in 14 models
  • Threaded muzzles across the new line

Cons

  • Bolt lift heavier than rivals
  • Two magazine patterns across the family
  • Aftermarket chassis support lags the redesign

This is the cheapest way into the new 110, and it isn’t stripped. The Trail Blazer gets the gray Trophy stock with push-button length-of-pull adjustment, a LimbSaver recoil pad, Black Ink Cerakote, a straight-fluted heavy sporter barrel with a threaded muzzle and a one-piece rail. Savage lists 40 North American SKUs in 22 chamberings, 17 of them left-handed, at $719 or $759.

The Trail Blazer XP is the same rifle with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9×40 mounted and bore sighted. The .308 package lists at $909 and 8.27 lb.

The one I’ve shot most is a 22 Creedmoor. On a freezing morning it put three-shot zeroing groups under an inch at 100 yards with Hornady 69gr ELD-VT, rang a 12-inch gong at 300, then ran more than 60 rounds through a prairie dog town without a malfunction. The magazine was snug going in. That was my only complaint.

Best For: A first deer rifle, or anyone who’d sooner put the money into glass.

A carryover, and a good one. The Trail Hunter Lite V2 keeps the black Hogue overmolded stock and Tungsten Cerakote of the old Trail Hunter Lite and adds the new bolt with dual ejectors, which is what V2 means across the line. It’s priced like the Trail Blazer at $719 or $759, and the .308 is listed at 6.9 lb, about a quarter pound lighter.

You give up two things. The length of pull is fixed at 13.75 inches, and you get two-piece Weaver-style bases where the newer rifles have a rail.

I ran the previous version hard in 5.56 NATO with a 1:7 barrel, suppressed, in temperatures from minus 5 to 25 degrees. Across 29 five-shot groups and seven loads it averaged 0.87 inches at 100 yards, and it shot 52-grain and 80-grain bullets about equally well. The rubbery stock is the reason to pick it. Wet gloves don’t slide on it.

Best For: Hunters who want a grippy stock and don’t need the adjustment.

The Core Hunter is the middle of the family and the one I’d tell most people to buy. For $80 more than a Trail Blazer you get the AccuFit V2 stock: length of pull and comb height adjust without tools from one dial, and small, medium and large grip modules come in the box. There are M-LOK panels in the forend, and the bolt handle is threaded so you can fit your own knob.

It’s also where Savage put the oddball chamberings. I count 33 on the model page, from .204 Ruger to .375 Ruger, and 23 of the 57 SKUs are left-handed. The .308 weighs 7.73 lb, so the adjustable stock costs you about 10 ounces over the Trail Blazer.

I carried a .308 through the Texas Hill Country in late July and took a ram off a rock face and a red stag with it. It held zero for the whole trip and never bobbled a round. One thing to know: the magazine is Savage’s own polymer box, not an AICS.

Best For: Most hunters. It fits almost anyone, and it comes threaded and railed.

Pro is Savage’s top trim, and on this rifle it buys real hardware. The barrel and receiver are stainless under Gun Metal Bronze Cerakote. The barrel is spiral fluted and wears an Omniport muzzle brake, the rail has 20 MOA of cant, the magazine is AICS pattern, and the AccuTrigger is the lighter unit that adjusts from 1.5 to 4 lb. The stock is the same AccuFit V2, in Savage Woodland or Savage Western camo.

Savage lists 76 SKUs, half of them left-handed, in 18 chamberings up to .338 Lapua, at $1,049 or $1,089.

Mine is a 20-inch .308. With Federal Fusion Tipped 180gr and a suppressor in place of the brake, it met Savage’s sub-MOA assurance for three shots at 100 yards, and it kept shooting well when I left the bench and fired from kneeling. It fed and extracted every round. The 20 MOA rail is more cant than a 300-yard deer rifle needs, but it does no harm.

Best For: Hunters who shoot past 400 yards, or who want the brake and AICS magazines.

The Ridge Hunter is the brush gun and the big-bore of the line. Stainless barrels from 16.5 to 20 inches, iron sights, an AICS magazine and the Trophy stock. The chambering list reads like a bear camp: .375 Ruger, .338 Win Mag, .450 Bushmaster, .400 Legend and .350 Legend, plus .308 and 5.56. All 12 come left-handed.

It’s the one current 110 that ships with no rail and no bases. The receiver is drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws, so budget for a base if you want a scope.

My 18-inch .308 averaged 1.1 inches for three shots with Hornady American Whitetail 150gr over 80 rounds, and off the irons I kept five shots inside 3 inches at 50 yards. At 8.1 lb it’s heavier than it looks. You’ll be glad of that in .375 Ruger.

Best For: Thick cover, straight-wall states and bear country.

A carbon barrel for $1,149 is the headline. The Carbon Hunter is a Trophy-series rifle, so it has the simpler stock and the standard 2.5 to 6 lb AccuTrigger, but the barrel is carbon fiber wrapped stainless and the .308 weighs 6.56 lb with an 18-inch tube. Savage offers six chamberings, and every one comes left-handed.

I shot the 18-inch .308 with Remington Core-Lokt Tipped 165gr and a suppressor. No three-shot group at 100 yards went over 1.5 inches, and the best measured an inch tall by half an inch wide. At 200 yards the same load landed where the reticle’s holdover marks said it would.

That’s hunting accuracy, not match accuracy, and from a short carbon barrel with hunting ammo I didn’t expect more. What you’re buying is a rifle that’s quick in brush and easy to carry all day.

Best For: Hunters who want carbon weight without Ultralite money.

Take a Core Hunter, swap the forend for a wide beavertail with an ARCA rail molded in, add an AICS magazine and the lighter trigger, and color it Hunter Green. That’s the Core Predator. The ARCA rail lets the rifle clamp straight onto a tripod head, which is how most night calling gets done now.

It comes in 13 varmint and predator chamberings, from .204 Ruger and 22 ARC up to .308, and all of them come left-handed. Barrels are 22 inches, or 16.5 for the suppressor crowd.

My 22-inch .308 averaged 0.8 inches for five shots with Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr across 100 rounds. It weighs 8.86 lb bare, and that weight is the catch. For a walk-and-call rifle I’d look hard at the Ultralite Predator in section 13.

Best For: Coyote hunters who shoot off a tripod.

8. Savage 110 Scout V2

  • Representative SKU: 32976

  • MSRP: $1,149

Savage’s take on Jeff Cooper’s scout rifle: a 16.5-inch barrel with a brake, a 10-round AICS magazine, adjustable iron sights and a long rail that runs forward over the barrel. The V2 moves it into the Coyote Tan AccuFit V2 stock and adds .400 Legend and 338 ARC. Savage lists nine chamberings, each in right and left hand, at $1,149.

That forward rail is made for a long-eye-relief scope mounted ahead of the action. It changes which scopes work, and I cover that in the optics section.

With the previous 110 Scout in .308 and a 1.5-4x scout scope, Federal 168gr and Black Hills 178gr loads held three shots between a half and three-quarters of an inch at 100 yards. Lighter bullets opened up to between 1.25 and 2 inches. Off the peep sight, shooting fast at 50 yards, my best five-shot groups ran 2 to 3 inches.

Best For: A truck rifle, a hog rifle, or anyone who wants irons as a backup.

The Core Tactical replaces the 110 Tactical, and it’s a better rifle. The idea hasn’t changed: a medium-contour threaded barrel, a 10-round AICS magazine and a 20 MOA rail at a working price. Now it sits in the Coyote Tan AccuFit V2 stock with the ARCA forend, a big bolt knob and Platinum Cerakote. MSRP is $1,099 in all 14 chamberings, which include .338 Lapua and .300 PRC with 26-inch barrels.

I shot an 18-inch 22 ARC. Hornady 88gr ELD-M went into about 0.75 MOA for five shots at roughly 2,690 fps, and once I’d read the wind I was making repeat hits on a 10-inch plate at 1,024 yards. It fed without a hitch.

For numbers on the older rifle, our Savage 110 Tactical review covers 500 rounds through a 6.5 Creedmoor. The AccuTrigger and barrel-nut action carried over. The bolt face and the stock are new, and the stock is far better.

Best For: A first long-range rifle, or a match rifle on a budget.

10. Savage 110 Long Range Precision

  • Representative SKU: 33061
  • Caliber: .308 Win
  • Barrel Length: 26 in
  • Twist Rate: 1:10
  • Muzzle Thread: 5/8×24
  • Overall Length: 46.25 in
  • Weight: 11 lb
  • Magazine Capacity: 10 rounds
  • Trigger: AccuTrigger, 1.5 to 4 lb
  • Length of Pull: 13.75 in
  • Stock: Black HS Precision fiberglass
  • Optic Mount: One-piece 20 MOA rail
  • MSRP: $1,629

Before chassis rifles took over, this was the long-range Savage: a 26-inch fluted heavy barrel in an HS Precision fiberglass stock with an aluminum V-block. It’s still in the catalog, now with a 20 MOA rail and the target AccuTrigger that adjusts from 1.5 to 4 lb. Five chamberings, right-hand only, $1,629.

At 11 lb bare it’s a prone and bench rifle. My .308 averaged 0.55 inches for five shots with Federal Gold Medal Match 175gr over 150 rounds, and the wide forend rides a front bag better than any chassis I own.

Best For: Steel and paper shooters who prefer a conventional stock.

These are the two chassis rifles. Both are built on what Savage calls a factory blueprinted action, with a 20 MOA rail and an AICS magazine. The 110 Precision ($1,849) sits in an MDT LSS XL chassis in Flat Dark Earth with a heavy carbon steel barrel. The Elite Precision ($2,459 to $2,639) moves up to the MDT ACC chassis with a full-length ARCA rail and a stainless modified Palma barrel, 26 inches in the short-action rounds and 30 in the magnums. Both come left-handed in every chambering.

I’ve shot the Elite Precision in 6.5 Creedmoor. Winchester’s 125gr open tip averaged 0.81 inches for five shots, with two groups at 0.6, and Hornady 140gr boattail hollowpoints averaged 0.91. Every load stayed under an inch. The rifle weighs 12.6 lb before a scope, and the brake makes it bark.

Best For: PRS and NRL shooters. Start with the Precision; buy the Elite Precision if you already compete.

12. Savage 110 LRPV and Magnum Target

  • Representative SKU: 33067
  • Caliber: .308 Win

  • Length of Pull: 13.75 in
  • Stock: Black HS Precision fiberglass
  • Optic Mount: One-piece 20 MOA rail
  • MSRP: $1,959

Two single-shot rifles for people who shoot from a bench. The 110 LRPV has a 26-inch fluted stainless barrel in the same HS Precision stock as the Long Range Precision, with a right-hand bolt and a left-side port so you can feed it without breaking position. It costs $1,959 in six chamberings from 5.56 to .308.

The 110 Magnum Target is the cheap way into extreme range: a single-shot .300 PRC or .338 Lapua with a 26-inch heavy barrel, a muzzle brake and a gray laminate stock for $1,239. The .338 weighs 12.05 lb.

Both shoot better than their prices suggest. My LRPV in .308 averaged 0.5 inches for five shots with Federal Gold Medal Match 168gr across 100 rounds.

Best For: Varmint shooters, bench shooters and anyone curious about a mile.

Here the carbon barrels come from PROOF Research, and the prices show it. The Ultralite Pro ($1,949 or $1,989) is a Core Hunter Pro with a carbon barrel and a skeletonized receiver in Blackout Cerakote. Same camo AccuFit V2 stock, 20 MOA rail, AICS magazine, brake and 1.5 to 4 lb trigger. The 20-inch .308 weighs 6.78 lb, almost a pound under the steel-barreled Pro.

The Ultralite Predator ($1,899) does the same thing to the Core Predator. Its 18-inch .308 is listed at 7.3 lb, and it keeps the ARCA forend.

I took an Ultralite Pro to Idaho for elk and came home with a bull. What stood out wasn’t the weight. It was the fit. I set the comb and length of pull once at camp, and the sight picture was there every time I mounted the rifle in steep country. Our Savage Ultralite launch coverage has the full announcement.

Best For: Mountain hunters who still want an adjustable stock.

The two lightest 110s, both carried over with the V2 bolt. The KLYM V2 puts a PROOF carbon barrel and a lightened stainless receiver in a carbon fiber FBT thumbhole stock with a push-button comb. Savage’s page says less than 6 pounds; its own spec table lists the 22-inch .308 at 6.2 lb. It costs $2,969 or $3,019.

The Ultralite Elite V2 swaps that stock for MDT’s folding HNT26 chassis in carbon fiber and magnesium, with an ARCA rail and an AICS magazine. The 18-inch .308 is listed at 5.8 lb and $3,599.

My KLYM V2 in .308 averaged 0.74 inches for three shots with Winchester Deer Season XP 150gr, with a best of 0.46, in an 8 to 14 mph wind. Nosler’s 168gr match load averaged 0.91. The earlier Ultralite Elite averaged 0.53 inches for three shots and 0.81 for five across six loads, though its action, rail and forend screws needed retorquing at about 100 rounds.

Best For: Sheep, goat and backcountry elk hunters who count ounces and can pay for it.

Which Savage 110 Should You Buy?

Fourteen lines is a lot, so here’s how I’d cut it down.

Tightest budget? The Trail Blazer. If you don’t own a scope, the XP package saves you the mounting job. If even that’s a stretch, the Axis is Savage’s cheaper family, and our Savage Axis II review covers it.

One rifle for deer and elk? The Core Hunter. It belongs with the picks in our best hunting rifles and best deer hunting rifles guides, and the best elk rifles list covers the bigger chamberings.

A youngster or a small-framed shooter? Also the Core Hunter. No current 110 is listed in a compact size. Savage’s answer is the adjustable stock, which runs from 12.75 to 13.75 inches of pull. That’s still long for a ten-year-old, so shoulder one first, and read our youth hunting guide.

Thick woods or a straight-wall state? The Ridge Hunter in .350 Legend, .400 Legend or .450 Bushmaster. See our best .450 Bushmaster rifles and straight-wall rifles for Ohio guides, and the best bear hunting rifles list if you’re shopping the .375 Ruger.

Predators? The Core Predator from a tripod, the Ultralite Predator if you walk. Both fit our best varmint rifles roundup.

Long range? The Core Tactical to start, the Precision or Elite Precision for matches. Our best PRS rifles and best chassis rifles guides show the competition.

Mountains? The Carbon Hunter for the money, the Ultralite Pro for the fit, the KLYM V2 or Ultralite Elite V2 for the lowest weight. Compare them with our best mountain rifles.

On chambering, most buyers end up between two cartridges, and our 6.5 Creedmoor vs .308 Win comparison settles it.

Two Rivals Worth Pricing First

The Tikka T3x Lite is the rifle I see cross-shopped against a 110 most often. Its bolt is slicker and the rifle is lighter, but the Lite ships with no rail and no rings. Our Tikka T3x models guide covers that family.

Who Should NOT Buy a Savage 110

  • Shooters who judge a rifle by its bolt. The 110’s lift is heavier than most, and my 110 Tactical let my hand know after 50 fast rounds. A Tikka T3x Lite cycles with two fingers.
  • Tinkerers who swap stocks for fun. The redesign has outrun the aftermarket for now. A Bergara B-14 HMR on the Remington 700 footprint takes almost any stock or trigger made.
  • Buyers who want walnut. No current 110 wears it. Look for a used 110 Classic, or buy a Tikka T3x Hunter.
  • Hunters on the tightest budget. The 110 starts at $719. Savage’s Axis 2 lists at $539.

Older names. Savage says that in 1998 it renamed the line the Model 10/110, with two-digit model numbers for short actions and three-digit numbers for long actions, and added the 11/111, 12/112, 14/114 and 16/116. A used Model 10, 11, 12 or 16 is a short-action 110 by another name.

What a used buyer gives up. The 2026 rifles have a new bolt face with dual ejectors and a radiused extractor, a smoother polymer magazine and threaded muzzles across the board. Most of the older rifles have none of that. If you find a 110 Tactical at a good price, though, I wouldn’t hesitate. Mine ran 500 rounds with one failure to extract, averaged 0.7 inches for five shots with Hornady 140gr ELD Match, and wore the same AccuTrigger the new rifles have.

Check the scope holes. Savage itself says owners used to have to work out whether a receiver took 6-40 or 8-40 screws. Measure before you order a base for an older rifle.

Savage 110 Magazines, Stocks and Barrels: What Swaps

Magazines. There are two patterns, and they split the family down the middle. The hunting rifles at the lower prices use Savage’s own polymer box, which holds 4 rounds of .308. Everything aimed at predators, long range or the Pro buyer takes AICS-pattern magazines, so any decent 10-round AICS magazine is a spare. The LRPV and Magnum Target have no magazine at all.

Stocks. This is the weak spot today. MDT, which builds the chassis on three factory 110s, says on its own site that 2026 Savage 110 models are currently not compatible with its aftermarket chassis and that updates are in the works. Until stock makers catch up, buy the factory stock you want. Savage does say the rimfire 110 RF accepts stocks made for a short-action 110.

Barrels. Every 110 barrel is held by a nut. Savage sets headspace at the factory by closing the bolt on a gauge and tightening that nut, and the same design is what made the 110 the home gunsmith’s switch-barrel action. With a barrel-nut wrench, a vise and headspace gauges, a careful owner can rebarrel one at the kitchen table. Headspace isn’t a place to guess, so use the gauges or pay a gunsmith.

Muzzle threads. Every .308 I list is 5/8×24. The .450 Bushmaster and .375 Ruger Ridge Hunters are 11/16×24, so check before you order a brake or a mount. If a can is the plan, start with our best suppressors guide.

Barrel Nut, Floating Bolt Head, AccuTrigger: Why a 110 Shoots

Savage introduced the Model 110 in 1958 in .270 Winchester and .30-06, and named it for its launch price of $109.95. A left-hand version followed in 1959, which explains why the family still treats left-handers better than anyone. In 1988, with the company in bankruptcy, Savage cut every product line except the 110. It’s been in production ever since.

Three things explain the accuracy, and none of them is glamorous. The barrel nut lets the factory set headspace to the minimum on every rifle. The bolt head is a separate piece that floats a little, so the lugs seat squarely even if the receiver isn’t perfectly true. And since 2003 every 110 has carried the AccuTrigger, with a blade in the trigger face that blocks the sear until you press it. That blade is why Savage can ship a 1.5-pound trigger in a hunting rifle. Mine broke at 2 pounds 5 ounces out of the box.

For 2026 Savage put the result in writing: a new 110 should hold sub-MOA for three shots at 100 yards with premium factory ammunition.

What Changed for 2026

  • New bolt face with dual spring-loaded ejectors and a radiused extractor, for stronger ejection and steadier feeding.
  • Trophy and AccuFit V2 stocks with a more vertical grip, palm swells and tool-free adjustment from a Quick Set Dial.
  • Threaded muzzles on every new rifle.
  • Cerakote or stainless on every barreled action.
  • One-piece rails on nearly every model.
  • Left-hand actions in every new model.
  • A LimbSaver recoil pad on Trophy and AccuFit V2 stocks, which Savage says cuts felt recoil by up to 50 percent against its old pad.
  • New chamberings including 22 Creedmoor, 25 Creedmoor, 22 ARC, 338 ARC, 300 HAM’R and 7mm Backcountry.

Optics for the Savage 110: What Fits and What to Buy

Savage made this simpler for 2026. In its own words, you no longer have to decipher whether your rifle uses 6-40 or 8-40 screws, because the rail is already on the rifle. That’s true of nearly every model. The exceptions matter, so here’s the full picture.

Variant LineWhat It Ships WithWhat You Need to Add
Trail Blazer, Core Hunter, Carbon Hunter, Core Predator, Ultralite PredatorOne-piece 0 MOA railRings
Trail Blazer XPOne-piece 0 MOA rail with a Vortex Crossfire II 3-9×40 mounted and bore sightedNothing
Core Hunter Pro, Core Tactical, Ultralite Pro, KLYM V2, Ultralite Elite V2One-piece 20 MOA railRings
Long Range Precision, Precision, Elite Precision, LRPV, Magnum TargetOne-piece 20 MOA railRings or a one-piece mount
Trail Hunter Lite V2Two-piece Weaver-style basesWeaver-style rings
Scout V2Full-length extended optic rail with adjustable iron sightsA long-eye-relief scope and rings, or nothing if you shoot the irons
Ridge HunterIron sights; receiver drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws, no railA base, then rings

0 or 20 MOA? Cant tilts the scope down so more of its elevation travel is left for long range. On a Core Tactical that’s what you want. On a hunting rifle zeroed at 200 yards it makes no practical difference, as long as the scope has travel to spare.

Once it’s mounted, our guide on how to sight in a rifle scope walks through the zero. The full fields are in our best rifle scopes and best scope rings and mounts guides. These are the four pieces I’d buy.

A seven-pound hunting rifle wants a scope that doesn’t undo the balance, and this one adds 13.1 ounces. I’ve hunted behind the VX-Freedom line for years. It’s the scope I tell people to mount, zero and forget. Twelve power covers any shot a Trail Blazer or Core Hunter should take, and the plain Hunt-Plex reticle is quick in bad light. Fitment is simple: 1-inch rings on the factory rail. On a 20 MOA rail it still zeroes easily, because Leupold lists 80 MOA of elevation travel.

My 110 Tactical wore a Viper PST, and the scope cost more than the rifle did. I’d do it again. The first focal plane EBR-7C reticle lets you hold wind and elevation at any power, the turrets track, and there’s a zero stop. Vortex lists 70 MOA of elevation travel, and with Savage’s 20 MOA rail under it a 6.5 Creedmoor has plenty left for 1,000 yards. It needs 30 mm rings. At 31.2 ounces it’s too much scope for an Ultralite and about right on a Core Tactical or Long Range Precision. More options are in our best PRS scopes list.

A normal scope has about 4 inches of eye relief. Hang one on the Scout V2’s forward rail and all you’ll see is a black ring. This is the scope built for the job, with 6 to 6.9 inches of eye relief, and it’s what I had on the 110 Scout when it shot those sub-inch groups. Both eyes stay open, the rifle balances between your hands, and it weighs 9.6 ounces. Four power is the limit, so call it a 250-yard setup. It takes 1-inch rings.

Most 110 buyers need rings and nothing else, and Leupold says these fit both Picatinny and Weaver-style bases. That covers the factory rails and the Trail Hunter Lite V2’s two-piece bases with one product. Buy the 1-inch pair for a VX-Freedom and the 30 mm pair for the Viper PST. Ridge Hunter owners need the base first. Leupold lists it for the Savage 110 round receiver, short action, and packs it with the 8-40 screws that match Savage’s drilled and tapped receiver. There’s a long-action version for the magnum chamberings. Leupold prints the torque figures. Use them.

FAQ: Savage 110 Models

How many Savage 110 models are there?

Savage's site lists 20 current centerfire Model 110 rifles: 15 in the Model 110 family (Trail Blazer, Trail Blazer XP, Trail Hunter Lite V2, Core Hunter, Core Hunter Pro, Ridge Hunter, Carbon Hunter, Core Predator, Core Tactical, Scout V2, Long Range Precision, Ultralite Pro, Ultralite Predator, Ultralite Elite V2 and KLYM V2), four long-range models (Precision, Elite Precision, LRPV and Magnum Target) and the Walmart-exclusive 110 Hunter XP. Together they cover 494 North American SKUs. Another 33 older 110 models are marked out of production.

What is the difference between the Savage 110 Trophy, Core and Pro series?

Trophy is the entry level: a gray Trophy stock that adjusts for length of pull only, on the Trail Blazer, Trail Blazer XP, Ridge Hunter and Carbon Hunter. Core adds the AccuFit V2 stock with tool-free length of pull and comb height, interchangeable grip modules, M-LOK panels and a threaded bolt handle. Pro adds Savage Woodland or Western camo, a skeletonized stainless receiver, a 20 MOA rail, an AICS magazine and an Omniport muzzle brake.

Is the Savage 110 Tactical discontinued?

Yes. Savage's page for the 110 Tactical says the model is out of production. Its replacement is the 110 Core Tactical, which lists at $1,099 with a Coyote Tan AccuFit V2 stock, an integral ARCA rail, a one-piece 20 MOA rail and a 10-round AICS magazine.

What is the difference between the Savage 110 and the Savage Axis?

They are separate families. The Axis is Savage's budget line, with current list prices from $519 to $749, and the Model 110 line runs from $650 to $3,639. The 110 is the rifle that gets the AccuFit V2 stock, the carbon barrels, the chassis models and the widest choice of chamberings.

Are all Savage 110 barrels threaded?

Savage says every new Model 110 rifle is threaded. The .308 Win rifles listed here are threaded 5/8x24, and the .450 Bushmaster and .375 Ruger Ridge Hunters are 11/16x24. The one exception on Savage's site is the Walmart-exclusive 110 Hunter XP, whose spec table lists the barrel as not threaded.

What scope mounts fit a Savage 110?

Most current 110s ship with a one-piece rail, 0 MOA on the Trail Blazer, Core Hunter, Carbon Hunter, Core Predator and Ultralite Predator and 20 MOA on the Core Hunter Pro, Core Tactical, Ultralite Pro, KLYM V2 and the long-range models, so they only need rings. The Trail Hunter Lite V2 ships with two-piece Weaver-style bases. The Ridge Hunter has iron sights and a receiver drilled and tapped for 8-40 screws, so it needs a base before rings.

Does Savage make left-handed 110 rifles?

Yes. Savage's site lists 218 left-hand SKUs for North America among the current 110 rifles. Every chambering of the Core Hunter Pro, Ridge Hunter, Carbon Hunter, Core Predator, Core Tactical, Scout V2, Ultralite Pro, Ultralite Predator, Precision and Elite Precision comes in left hand. The KLYM V2, Ultralite Elite V2, Long Range Precision, LRPV and Magnum Target are right-hand only.

What is the Savage 110 accuracy guarantee?

Savage calls it the Model 110 Accuracy Assurance. It says a new Model 110 in original factory condition can produce sub-MOA three-shot groups at 100 yards under controlled conditions, with premium-grade factory ammunition and a properly mounted optic.
