The FBI has revealed that there were 200,000 background check requests as people bought guns on Black Friday.
It was a new single-day record and that is two years straight where the gun buying public has bought enough firearms to arm the entire 180,000-strong Marine Corps.
USA Today reported that the FBI fielded 203,086 requests during the 24 madness that is Black Friday, decimating the 2016 record of 185,713.
There were some serious savings on offer in stores and online but it’s still kind of mindboggling that 200,000 guns got sold in just one day.
If you missed the boat, Rainier Arms has a Cyber Monday sale still going. So get in quick!
