The new Rex Delta is the first striker fired polymer pistol from this new gun manufacturer from Slovenia. The result is possibly one of the best compact carry pistols for sale in 2019 and a Glock rival you might want to consider.
The ReX Delta is smaller, lighter and more complete than a Glock 19. Is it a better pistol? It certainly seems so at first glance.
If we had told you this was a new entry to the custom Glock parts & accessories market, you wouldn’t be too shocked would you? That’s because this basically looks like a Glock 19 with all the aftermarket parts. All of em…
A Handgun Designed For Concealed Carry
You can manipulate that slide just about any which way thanks to the
It’s a stock black finish, it’s clearly a polymer handgun and the ReX Delta is built to a serious price point for a striker fired EDC. The chunky square stippling on the grip is a love it or loathe it affair, but I like it.
This is a relatively low budget handgun, too, especially in the Glock rivals sector. It undercuts the Glock significantly and comes with the finishing touches a lot of Glock parts & accessories buyers end up sourcing online.
Hints of Mossberg and FN
You can see hints of the Mossberg MC1sc, FN 509 and the other best compact handguns on the market. That’s a good thing. ReX hasn’t tried to reinvent the wheel with the Rex Delta. Instead it has concentrated on producing a great value handgun that does everything you want, when you want, and nothing more.
The end result is a gun that can take it to any of the best 9mm compact carry handguns for EDC that we regularly say nice things about. And there are some unique touches, too.
The trigger comes with zero travel, well a 2mm reset if were being precise. There’s a safety in the trigger, a typical striker-fired internal safety system backed up by a single action style ‘wall’.
Lightweight and Balanced
Weight distribution has come under the microscope and a low bore axis helps the ReX shoot flat and true. That’s a huge help when it comes to your shooting technique, and it’s a thing that Glock does very well.
You don’t need to pull the trigger for the takedown procedure and there are just nice touches everywhere on this gun. The stippling looks like a custom gun finish, the slide lock and magazine release are ambidextrous and you get a small Picatinny rail for a weapons light or laser.
The capacity depends on you, as the extended magazine, a double stack magazine, offers 17+1 rounds. In a 7 inch handgun with a 4 inch barrel, that’s very serious territory indeed.
The Rex Delta goes into
ReX Zero and Alpha are Great Guns
ReX made its name with 9mm metal pistols, effectively the next gen CZ 75 B. The Rex Alpha and ReX Zero are great guns. They are also hammer fired, fashionable guns that offer the same level of engineering as a Dan Wesson or other great American handguns, for a fraction of the money.
The semi auto Rex Delta isn’t quite the same value proposition when you compare it directly to a Glock 19 or Sig Sauer.
But look in depth at this gun and you get the same finishing touches you get on a Sig Sauer X-Carry, or Agency Arms Glock, in a slightly less attractive package. Do that comparison and you will buy your ReX Delta right now.
It’s a budget custom gun, then.
Could the ReX Delta be the best concealed carry pistol?
This could become a dark horse in the race for the
I’m thinking more the former, but I’d love to see this gun make a major dent in Glock’s sales and force the Austrian sleeping giant to respond.
