15 Best 9mm Rifles For Sale – October 2022

15 Best 9mm Rifles For Sale – October 2022

Pistol Caliber Carbines are a seriously big market these days as the world turns on to small caliber rifles. But what are the best 9mm rifles on the market?

And who the Hell wants a 9mm rifle in the first place?

This latest trend for PCCs has been fuelled by an explosion in the AR-9 pistol market, preppers and simple range shooting enthusiasts that like the cheap ammo.

9mm Pistol Caliber Carbine Great For Home Defense

With 9mm Luger evolving into the near perfect self-defense round due to advancing tech, a rifle makes a lot more sense than it used to.

These guns produce controlled chaos and you’d have to be pretty unlucky to fire through a wall and hit the neighbor with these. So that’s good, generally.

Why Buy a 9mm Rifle?

A PCC can also be used for endless low recoil range shooting, and small game hunting when a 22 rifle won’t quite cut it. They can share ammo with your 9mm concealed carry pistol in the Post Apocalyptic wasteland as well.

The simple truth is, for a variety of disparate reasons, people love the Pistol Caliber Carbines on the market. But what is the best rifle you can buy in 2022?

Freedom Ordnance FX-9 Carbine 9mm rifle. Get a great deal on a PCC today.

1. Freedom Ordnance FX-9 Carbine

  • Price: $850.99
  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel: 16 inch
  • Total: 28.5-33 inch
  • Weight: 6.1lb

The Freedom Ordnance FX-9 is one of the finest 9mm sub guns on the market. This is basically the longer version.

It’s obviously about as AR-15 style as you can get without being a true AR-15 rifle. So you get a black synthetic collapsible stock, chrome moly steel barrel and a muzzle brake.

There’s also a full-length Picatinny rail and an M-Lok free float handguard that can take a weapons light. You can use a variety of muzzle devices and it comes with a fully adjustable stock.

Like many other 9mm semi-automatic rifles, it takes Glock magazines and that opens up a world of opportunities. That’s right through to drum magazines and 100-round capacities.

Foxtrot FM-9, a great 9mm rifle that designed for 3 Guyn competition and based on a lightweight AR-15. Get one now.

2. Foxtrot Mike Products FM-9

  • Price: $749.00
  • Barrel: 16.25 inch
  • Total: 32 inch
  • Weight: 7lb

The Foxtrot Mike FM-9 is one of the best new arrivals on the scene. As CZ gets more expensive, this is one of the brands that is rising up to fill that low budget 9mm niche.

It does everything you would basically expect from an AR-15, but the 9mm won’t over penetrate like a rifle caliber.

This Glock mags, is optics ready, comes with a moly steel match spec barrel, and is pretty much perfect for the job. It also has the last round bolt hold open mechanism that really works.

This rifle weighs a little more than some, but it is almost designed to mimic an AR-15, down to the heft in your hands. It is competition ready if you want to try out shooting sports like 3 Gun too.

Kel Tec Sub 2000 For Sale. A great cheap 9mm carbine rifle.

3. Kel-Tec Sub-2000

  • Price: $449.00
  • Barrel: 16.25 inch
  • Total: 29.25-33 inch
  • Weight: 4.25lb

The Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm has won legions of fans around the world with the simple recipe of a lightweight, folding 9mm rifle with one of the lowest price tags here.

This semi-automatic is ridiculously light for a gun with a 16 inch barrel made from Chrome Moly Steel. Of course there’s a lot of black polymer, it wouldn’t be a Kel-Tec Sub2000 without that.

But the main components are robust and the Kel-Tec folds in the middle to stash in a backpack. So it’s kind of a survival rifle. Kind of…

That’s close to a concealed carry rifle. That has earned this versatile sort of survival rifle you can carry in the palm of your hand a place in hearts and minds around the world. I mean the pistol grip even doubles as a carry handle on these long guns.

As a personal defense tool, it’s way better than a 9mm pistol as you’ll win the range war.

Fresh Look at Old Favorites

This company normally just makes stock black polymer cheap guns. Now and again, though, they do something truly special. The Kel-Tec KSG is one of our favorite high-capacity shotguns, and now this Kel Tec 9mm belongs here.

Kel-Tec absolutely smashed it out of the park with the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 9mm. It isn’t just one of the best 9mm carbine rifles on the market. It’s one of our favorite cheap rifles on sale in 2022 and it’s not even bad at long range.

Rock River Arms LAR-9, a 9mm rifle and a living tribute to the Vietnam era Colt M4.

4. Rock River Arms LAR-9

  • Price: $1,102.99
  • Barrel: 16.1 inch
  • Total: 33 inch
  • Weight: 6.5lb

The Rock River Arms LAR-9 is clearly a modified AR15 rifle, to the point that it even pays tribute to the old school Colt M4.

You can buy a more modern version set up for competition shooting. But this is cool in its own way, with the old world Vietnam era carry handle and stock black polymer handguard.

Here’s the competition spec gun, just because it’s the best video we can find…

CMMG Resolute 100 MKGS on sale now. A great 9mm carbine rifle with a lot of AR-15 influence. Buy yours today.

5. CMMG Resolute 100 MKGS

  • Price: $1,253.99
  • Barrel: 16.1 inch
  • Total: 28.5-33 inch
  • Weight: 6.5lb

The CMMG Banshee has put this US company back on the map. Now the 9mm pistol’s bigger brother, the CMMG Resolute, should have just as big an impact.

It’s another AR-15 style rifle. But that’s no bad thing as you get a lot of useful touches that you normally find on a custom AR-15 on the CMMG Resolute. Just look at the detail work on that free float handguard.

They include the cerakote finish and a choice of colors, from Flat Dark Earth and white through to matte black. Inevitably it’s a black synthetic stock with a full range of movement, and it uses the 33 round Glock mag.

Watch the CMMG Resolute in glorious full auto here.

Pure Engineering is Sexy

We have more spectacular looking rifles on the list, but the CMMG 9mm carbine is easily one of the best engineering efforts here. And we like these long guns, a lot.

We like pure engineering here. Also, we like that the Resolute owes so much to the larger 5.56 NATO rifles that have been CMMG’s daily bread for a long time now.

It’s a great 9mm, 40S&W, 10mm or 45 ACP. Whichever handgun ammo you choose, you’re going to love your new gun, steel barrel and free float handguard.

Sig Sauer MPX 9mm rifle on sale now. Get yours here.

6. Sig Sauer MPX PCC

  • Price: $1,970.99
  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel: 16 inch
  • Total: 28.5-33 inch
  • Weight: 7.6lb

The Sig Sauer is the benchmark for 9mm carbines and will go down as one of the all time greats. Price and weight cost it the crown here, but not by much.

It has completely ambidextrous controls. It also employs a fully closed and locked rotating bolt. And the trigger pull is stellar in this company. As is the lightweight free float handguard.

A short stroke gas piston system pretty much means you can use dirt grade 9mm ammo if you want. Or you can load up with 9mm ripper bullets and really get evil.

Here’s what multiple shooting sports champion Taran Butler had to say about this gun.

AR-15 Features on a Stock Black 9mm Carbine

The charging handle at the rear, six position collapsible stock, Picatinny rails, Keymod handguard and muzzle brake all give off that Modern Sporting Rifle vibe.

Now the weight isn’t great, especially for a firearm that looks so pared down. But some people call that additional heft ballast for their long guns.

If you don’t run and gun as much as you used to, then the additional weight to soak up recoil and the jitters isn’t always a bad thing. For long range shooting, the weight can actually be a benefit.

Some people also want to carry a Sig and don’t mind paying the weight penalty. Honestly, they’re not wrong. The stock black Sig Sauer MPX PCC is a truly great 9mm pistol caliber carbine.

Christensen Arms CA9. A great 9mm PCC you can buy today. Get yours here.

7. Christensen Arms CA9

  • Price: $1,699.00
  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel: 16 inch
  • Total: 28.5-33 inch
  • Weight: 6.6lb

Christensen Arms makes custom rifles and pistols, using lightweight materials and modern tech to breathe new life into the classics.

The Christensen Arms CA9 PCC 9mm is a rethink of the modern AR-style 9mm carbine using a lot of touches from the bigger caliber. Obviously the highlight is that custom barrel up front, which is a slim wall of 416R steel wrapped in a carbon-fiber sleeve. The free-float handguard and Keymod rail system is largely CF too.

Also the Glock magazines, as you can see there, add a common touch, and the magzine release and ambi safety feels like a custom AR15. The choice of Cerakote finish takes it back upmarket and include Burnt Bronze and Tungsten through to plain matte black.

Trigger Makes You Happy

Under the skin, the TriggerTech match-grade single-stage trigger is a solid foundation. Inevitably the trigger pull is special then.

The bolt carrier group is black Nitride coated and this is turning into a popular race gun. The black synthetic stock, minimalist in the extreme, adds to that feeling.

Lightweight Parts Lead to a Balanced Gun

It’s a solid start for a number of competitions. You can add your own parts, accessories and upgrades, but you really don’t need to meddle too much.

The Christensen Arms CA9 uses lightweight materials not just for the lowest possible kerbweight. The company saves weight, but then reinvests those ounces and pounds into a balanced, complete rifle. It’s just a shame the only video they have is the pistol.

The KRISS Vector 9mm Carbine rifle. An ugly gun with a trick recoil system that

8. KRISS Vector CRB Gen 2

  • Price: $1,633.99
  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel: 16.6 inch
  • Total: 29.7 inch
  • Weight: 4.25lb

The KRISS Vector CRB dared to be different to all the other 9mm semi-auto rifles here.

Comprehensively changing the weight distribution and bore axis was just the start. Then with the KRISS Vector CRB, it introduced its patented anti-recoil system.

Frankly, at first it sucked. The KRISS Vector Super V recoil mitigation system that blew empty shells down just wasn’t that good. Especially in the full auto submachine gun. But the 9mm Gen 2 is there or thereabouts these days and this is a properly good gun with reduced felt recoil.

Does the Vector Work?

KRISS have made major strides with this 9mm semi auto rifle. Now the Glock-powered Vector 9mm Gen 2 is a seriously good carbine for home defense or the firing range.

The first gun appeared more in the movies than on actual gun ranges. Now everything is different, from the front side charging handle to the blocky receiver and magazine release.

The look attracted the props departments and the sub gun was the centerpiece of Cable’s gun in Deadpool 2, among many other movie appearances.

Slowly Winning the Crowd

Both the pistol and the duck-billed platypus of a rifle are starting to win the hearts and minds of the gun enthusiasts of America. Gun safes look better with one in there if it’s an olive green pistol, FDE, whatever.

The 9mm tactical carbine definitely looks awkward from some angles. But with that giant barrel shroud, faux suppressor or whatever you want to call it, iron sights and multiple Picatinny rails, it’s certainly different.

A range of colors takes in classic Flat Dark Earth, Tungsten grey and an amazing Stormtrooper white and black. That’s our favorite, if it matters.

You can order one of these 9mm semi auto rifles in almost every pistol caliber, and you can switch between calibers with complete lowers. You can also use the thread for a suppressor or muzzle brake.

The 9mm carbines are going to be the cheapest to run and the likes of 10mm is a seriously high price to pay for your fun. Arguably, it’s the best of the best 9mm carbines too with low felt recoil.

Beretta CX4 Storm. A great 9mm Luger rifle. Get yours today.

9. Beretta CX4 Storm 9mm

  • Price: $798.99
  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel Length: 16.6 inch
  • Total: 29.7 inch
  • Weight: 4.25lb

Yes the Beretta CX4 Storm rifle looks just a little bit ‘operator’, but that’s fun sometimes if you don’t take it too seriously.

Do that, and you’ll find this curvy polymer wonder is the foundation for a very solid rifle. It’s on the fringes of the top 10. But the people who take the plunge tend to love their 9mm tactical carbine.

Your Favorite New Rifle

Plenty have reported it swiftly becomes their favorite semi-auto rifle. One reviewer said a HK SP5K remained untouched in the gun safe after this one arrived. That’s the Godfather of short-barrel Pistol Caliber Carbines right there, and some people prefer the Beretta.

It’s not one off or particularly anecdotal. It seems to be a trend with one of the most under-rated carbines on sale.

As a truck gun, home defense and just about every other situation for which 9mm ammunition could possibly be the answer, it’s a great option. It’s a solid long-range 9mm carbine, too, although we couldn’t quite call it a sniper rifle.

The Beretta CX4 Storm rifle uses the Beretta 92 pistol magazine, too, instead of the standard for this post Glock magazine. With iron sights, or better yet a red dot, it’s a great rifle. And you can order a digital camo 9mm semi-auto, or other garish colors.

You can get yourself one of the best-selling Beretta PX4 Storm pistols to go with your long gun too.

Kalashnikov USA KR9. An intriguing 9mm AK-47 based rifle. Get yours now.

10. Kalashnikov USA KR-9

  • Price: $1,180.99
  • Barrel Length: 16.3 inch
  • Total: 31 inch
  • Weight: 6.6lb

The Kalashnikov USA KR-9 is inspired by the classic AK-47 rifle and some of them even come with faux silencers to give you a long gun with a real military vibe. You could get a threaded barrel and fit real muzzle devices too.

I mean these are still 9mm rifles at the end of the day, so there are none of the Russian ammo theatrics. But that can be a good thing.

The Kalashnikov USA KR-9 has a solid reputation for reliability, but it is on the high price side. Still, if you’re an AK Guy, then that might not put you off. If you’re left handed, it’s all ambidextrous too, including the extended magazine release.

So yeah, if that’s you, buy your Kalashnikov USA rifle now.

Palmetto State Armory PSA Custom PX-9. A top rifle on paper, but does it perform? Find out here.

11. Palmetto State Armory PSA Custom PX-9

  • Price: $999.99
  • Barrel: 16.5 inch
  • Total: 31 inch
  • Weight: 6.5lb

Palmetto State Armory has made a brave move with PSA Custom and now this is one of the finest 9mm rifles on the market. On paper, definitely.

The spec sheet for this Palmetto State Armory rifle is amazing. You can also order a Cailfornia compliant rifle from the off.

It’s hand assembled by Palmetto State Armory master gunsmiths and then handpainted. That’s kind of cool, if unnecessary detail work on this blow back operated rifle and Chrome Moly barrel.

The HI-Point 995TS 9mm carbine rifle for sale. One of the best pistol caliber carbines, for a discount price.

12. Hi-Point 995TS 9mm Carbine

  • Price: $270.99
  • Barrel: 16.5 inch
  • Total: 31 inch
  • Weight: 6.5lb

This budget firearms manufacturer doesn’t get much love round here. Largely, the likes of Taurus and Springfield Armory have raised the bar for cheap pistols. But we still like the semi-automatic Hi-Point 995TS 9mm carbine rifle.

It’s not our first choice for a pistol caliber rifle, but this comically tactical semi-automatic rifle certainly deserves its place among the leading carbine 9mm rifles for sale today. Really, the Hi-Point 995TS.

So if you want the semi-automatic Hi-Point 995TS, then go for it.

The Ruger PC Carbine is a classic 9mm rifle that is cheap, fun to shoot and reliable.

13. Ruger PC Carbine 9mm Dead Blow Action Takedown Rifle

  • Price: $599.99
  • Caliber: 9mm Luger
  • Barrel: 16 inch
  • Total: 28.5-33 inch
  • Weight: 7.6lb

This semi-automatic 9mm rifle is an absolute classic and follows the true Ruger tradition of doing the basics well for a great price.

Add the Ruger PC Carbine 9mm takedown rifle to the best selling Ruger 10/22 22LR rifle and the AR-556 AR-15. It’s an elite list of revered, respected and generally exalted rifles that also happen to be some of the cheapest in their class.

That’s so hard to do, we shouldn’t just brush past it. Ruger knows cheap rifles like few others and the Ruger PC Carbine 9mm takedown is a perfect example of the company spirit in a long gun.

Share Ammo With Your Sidearm

It’s a takedown rifle with a black synthetic stock. So you can throw it in a backpack together with a few Glock magazines and you’re set. You can use proprietary Ruger 9mm magazines intended for the Security-9 compact pistol as well.

You get adjustable iron sights, together with a rail for more serious scopes, optics and red dot sights.

That turns this 9mm caliber carbine into a lethal small game hunting tool and a serious proposition for home defense if you’re defending a large perimeter. They are complete rifles, in a way, so buy your gun online now.

Why Own a Ruger PC Carbine 9mm?

Survivalists and prepper types love this gun because it shares bullets and mags with their sidearm, firearms, rifles, everything really. The same bullets produce a much bigger impact with 12 inches more barrel sending them downrange too.

Speed kills, so the saying goes…

It’s a versatile gun, then. Range addicts also like the soft shooting aspect, and you might just want them because a surprising number are California legal.

The CZ Evo Scorpion Evo 3 S1 9mm rifle.

14. CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 9mm

  • Price: $1,647.99
  • Caliber: 9mm
  • Barrel: 16.2
  • Total: 36 inch
  • Weight: 6.38lb

The longer barrel version of the iconic CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 9mm Sub-Machine Gun is pretty the much the perfect PCC. It was the winner, but then stocks ran dry and now it’s down here.

Now the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 is pretty expensive, but it’s an awful lot of gun for the money. Anybody that has handled the famous 9mm AR pistol knows that CZ has a legend on its hands.

The rifle with the folding stock is really just a bigger legend and one of the best pistol caliber carbines you’ve seen.

Barrel Looks Brutal, Gun Looks Like a Platypus

It looks mean as Hell, too, with the adjustable stock, sturdy pistol grip and faux suppressor supplied by SilencerCo. That seems like overkill for what is essentially a sexy shroud, but here we are.

You can replace that with a real suppressor that will fit snugly under that slimline M-Lok handguard. There’s an ambidextrous safety on this side-charging carbine rifle and the parts that aren’t polymer are coated for durability.

Battle Proven Legend

There are no tricks with the CZ Scorpion Evo 3 S1 9mm rifle. Well, except the suppressor. Aside from that this Eastern European marvel has passed the toughest tests in much more skilled hands and much harsher environments than most of us will ever see.

Elite Law Enforcement, military and private security teams opt for the robust, reliable 9mm long pistol for urban settings.

At a push, the pistol is even a concealed carry handgun. The rifle? Not so much.

Long Range Pistol Caliber Carbines Are Great

That’s not a dealbreaker, funnily enough. The rifle offers incredible long-range accuracy and the knowledge that the internals of this thing have faced endless beatdowns around the world.

It really feels like a military-grade product, without the full auto.

Battle Arms Developments Xiphos rifle. A great 9mm machined from billet aluminum.

15. Battle Arms Developments Xiphos 9mm

  • Price: $1,699.99
  • Caliber: 9mm
  • Barrel: 16
  • Total: 32 inch
  • Weight: 6.38lb

The Battle Arms Developments Xiphos is another rifle that would be much higher up the order, if we could find one to sell you.

The receivers are machined from billet aluminum, it is a lightweight rifle with almost no recoil and you could shoot all day without breaking the bank or your shoulder. Or your walls.

Where to Buy 9mm Ammo

You need to bulk buy ammunition these days, dependiing on your local laws of course. We like Palmetto State Armory and Lucky Gunner for barrels of 9mm Luger. With modern prices of ammo, shop around, sure, but these are good start points.

Where to Buy Gun Parts?

At some point you’re going to need rifle parts, handgun parts, shotgun parts, lower receivers, spotting scopes, accessories, optics, gun cases, all that stuff. You’ll need an upper parts kit long before that of course.

Slings, swivels, scope rings, laser sights, spotting scopes and more can become an obsession. Lasser sights work pretty well for defensive duties, although you might want red dots up there.
